Postage Prices

Royal Mail have had to increase their prices from today. Unfortunately this means that we have had to raise our p & p prices to reflect this. We have altered the prices on our websites today and the price you see is the price we will charge. We are sorry to have to do this, but we cannot continue to absorb the rising cost of both postage and the boxes, packaging materials etc. Best wishes, Richard and Claire

Made-to-Measure Service

We are happy to now be able to offer a made-to-measure service for your Spindle. You can now choose the weight of whorl you wish to have from 25g (minimum) - 100g (maximum) in 5g increments. Whilst we cannot guarantee to product exactly the weight, we can product a weight within a few grams. eg If you order a spindle weighing 30g it will be between 28g and 32g finished weight. You can still order a Top or Bottom whorl and specify which end you would like the hand-crafted hook, or no hook at all. All our shafts will continue to be in hand-turned Beech and our Made-to-Measure Spindles will be available in all the woods listed below for our Standard Spindles. The special order spindles will be £22.50 each plus £3.50 for postage etc in the UK and £7.50 in the rest of the World. To order, please contact us at: Moorec648@aol.com Thankyou.

There's something magical about spinning. Handspun yarn has an incredible energy, and each skein is unique. If you've never tried spinning, it's easy to learn. Spinning with a drop spindle is portable and rather addictive! Sublime Spindles produce beautifully hand crafted drop spindles, turned from wood from English trees. These tactile spindles are superbly balanced, and a dream to spin with. Each spindle is made to order, just for you.

When making our Standard spindles, we can add a hook at either or both ends, a groove for half-hitch knot on either or both ends and a groove in the side of the whorl too if you wish. Just let us know what you would like and we will do our best to make your dream spindle. Our Standard Spindles can be used as either top or bottom whorls and are approximately 45-50g/approx 1 1/2 - 1 3/4oz in weight

Standard Spindles are available in: Antique Pine, Apple, Ash, Mahogany, English Oak, Walnut and Sycamore.

Sublime Spindles are priced at £19.50 each, plus £3.50 p&p in the UK,£6.00 Europe and £10.00 elsewhere).

Niddy-noddys

We also make Niddy-noddys from Ash wood. Each one is individually hand turned, so each one is unique. The top and bottom bars are tapered and pull apart for easy storage and carrying. Each one makes a 54" skein.

They are made to order and are available for £19.50 each plus £3.50 postage in the EU and UK. The postage is £7.50 to the rest of the world.
